I must say, when it comes to mapping, I can be a bit picky. If I don't like how the map is coming, I'll trash it in favor of a different theme.

Ultimately, my slow release schedule is affected by this. I do see many maps out there that lack the kind of detail I look for that make me think, "Hey, I've made many maps that look like that one, why don't I ever release one at that stage of development." But, ultimately, I always fall back to my roots. I believe in quality over quantity.

I believe in providing fun game-play and fun maps that let players have a fun time. Ultimately, I guarantee that any map I've released, I will have spent plenty of time considering whether I put my all into it or not.

I've started dozens of maps, damn near finished 4 of 'em, and ultimately have only release4d a few to the public. My latest one is on hold due to prier engagements with WoW, but is well on the way.

Were you able to cause damage to the of your team?
If so, I need to look at the entities again, but no, you shouldn't e able to attack your own core.

[edit]
If you are able to damage your own core, make sure you have the Primary core placed in the map. Included with the core placement is the entity that regulates which team can damage what. With out it, the game will assume anyone can destroy anything.
[edit2] By the way, I am working on your game mode, and may make a few modifications to it to make it more playable, such as using 3 CP's instead of 5.

I haven't placed the main core on the map yet. then there is no problem if you are sure this is causing it.

Anyways, I meant only one CP :P But do what you can do.

1? Well that makes it simpler. My main concern is do you want the CP visible on the HUD or not. It's not going to be a big deal, just the problem with the locks on screen. A quick fix is to simply make an extra CP ent and make it hidden and non-visible on the HUD while re-enabling the CP_master.

Note: I have often been referred to as the "Jerry-Rigging Master" by some people.
---
But yeah, The ent on the cores that is causing the problem is called a filter ent, which creates a filter for actions. In this case, the breakables have filter_masters bound to only allow players that pass the bound filters criteria.

I'm thinking of doing a tut on a lot of these entities in the near future, perhaps when my classes end, but before I transfer to finish of my Game Dev portfolio degree.

Dunno if you know this, but are you suppose to be able to destroy your own core?
