Opening Ports
Difficulty: Beginner
Category: CS > Server AdministrationAuthor(s): BlkDrgn
Did you create this? Request ownership

Ok this is how to forward the necessary ports on a router.

All you have to go into the gaming and other applications tab/or forwarding...what ever your router calls it and open the following:

To get into your router open the net and type 192.168.1.1 in your browser.

You can use whatever you like under name.

NAME START UDP/TCP END

cs 27000 UDP 27015
cs1 27020 TCP 27039
s 27015 UDP 27020
s1 27015 TCP 27015

there will also be a spot for the ip address.....make sure you use the ip of the pc that will be running the server.

If you know the username and passowrd then you can login to the router. To find your IP do these steps...

1. Click start
2. Click the run icon and type In "cmd"
3. A little black box known as DOS will pop up and tpye In "ipconfig"
4. You should see your IP adress listed there.

-Enjoy!
