Difficulty: Beginner
Category: CS:S > InstallationAuthor(s): Chaos

This tutorial will show and explain how to Install Counter-Strike: Source *WEAPON* Skins.

First -
*Screenshot 1*
Find a good skin for the weapon that you would like.
In this Tutorial, I will be using SGT_kick_ur_ass's Camo'd deagle.

Second -
*Screenshot 2*
When you find the skin that you would like to download,
Download it to your Desktop!

Third -
*Screenshot 3*
When the skin is completely downloaded, you need open your weapons folder, where both your models folders are located.

C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/*YourSteamName*/counter-strike source/cstrike/materials/weapons/v_models
C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/*YourSteamName*/counter-strike source/cstrike/materials/weapons/v_models

Fourth -
*Screenshot 4*
Open the skin file and then drag the files to the correct _model folder.
  • example: Files in folder v_pist_deagle should go into your v_models folder.
  • example: Files in folder w_pist_deagle - should go into your w_models folder.
If the file you downloaded comes with a folder do not put it inside your Models folders. ONLY (.vtf + .vmt) type files should be in your w_models and v_models

Fifth -
Once the skin files are dragged into the correct models folder, you are ready to play!
