HOW TO: Portal Radio with Music
Difficulty: Beginner
Category: PRTL > Other/MiscAuthor(s): Kirby Freeman

Okay. This is my first tutorial and I think I start now.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. First at all we need a Model. Create a prop_physics_override with the Entity Tool and give him a name, I named mine "radio".
In World Model put in "models/props/radio_reference.mdl".

----------------------------------------------------------

2. Next create a ambient_generic with the Entity Tool, select SoundName and search for Portal.room1_Radio.
Than select SourceEntityName and select "radio"

----------------------------------------------------------

3. In ambient_generic go to Inputs and do picture 5.

----------------------------------------------------------

4. In prop_physics_override go to Outputs and do picture 6. (The Sound should, if something kills the object, end automatically if you done the Inputs and Outputs right)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IF I FORGOT SOMETHING, JUST SAY IT.

I hope it was useful.

You might also want to parent the sound to the prop so that you can take the sound with the radio wherever you go, unless the output thing does that.

The SourceEntityName does that.

Pros: It exactly shows how to make the radio at the most simple way possible
Cons: It only says do picture X but doesnt explain what each action does. This is better in case people want to try something that looks alot like it but is slightly diffirent
