I have set up an account on my webserver for anyone to use to store .bz2 files for fast download servers.
It already includes the default folders and some files.

Okay - If you have an FTP program (I recommend filezilla. If you don't already have one.)

Here are the login details:

Host: aperture-m.com
Port : 21
User: download@aperture-m.com
Pass: password

Please don't abuse it.
The only file types allowed:

.html
.htm
.jpg/jpeg
.gif
.swf
.png
.bsp
.bz2
.wav
.mp3
.vmt
.vtf
.vtx
.mdl
.vvd
.phy
.lua
.txt

I will check regularly what is being uploaded.

Use this for the bzipping: Download

Just drag and drop up to five files at a time onto the .exe file and it will convert them.
If it does not work try dragging less files. It usually depends on the file size as it can only compress so much each time.

Add these lines to your server.cfg file to get the downloads activated on your server:
sv_downloadurl http://aperture-m.com/666
net_maxfilesize 60

Can't be done as far as I'm aware, otherwise I would of done it.
The amount of complaints I've received because of files getting deleted is stupidly high...

No worries.

There isn't a way to change permission or something for guests so they can only add files and not modify or delete? Anyway, Thanks a lot for the service you're providing.

Thanks rly help me out one question to clear confusion for your example is it

sv_downloadurl http://aperture-m.com/666/yourfolder/game/(maps folder/content bz2)

i'm uploading now and thanks if i can use it.

Can you please set up an account for me. I have been setting up a cstrike folder under the aotd folder but people keep deleting it. If you would please pm me with a user name and password and instruction on how to do use them that would be greatly appreciated. This is an awesome respectable thing of you to do. I typed it exactly like this(you can check the folders by yourself):

sv_downloadurl "http://aperture-m.com/poisonheadcrab/tf/"

in "tf" there was a "maps" folder where I put in my bz2 maps.

And also: I have another host which works for me(but it has a high filesize limit, so I need another one).
Difference is here, if I write in my browser the line from sv_downloadurl and then put in the correct path to a map, I can download it.

With katfishs server I have to put in "ftp" instead of "http" first, to download it from my browser, but this doesn't work for sv_downloadurl!

So how do all the people here manage to get it working?? <:(

That is the right directorys, I dont know what the problem could be, Try contact Katfish ? I got it working by sv_downloadurl http://aperture-m.com/foldername/game.
