Hello fellow FPS banana users, This tutorial will describe how to install CS 1.5 and play on the WON2 network. Questions/comments will be answered if you're having trouble. Now on with the tutorial. CLIENT SETUP 1. Install the Half-life retail or Counter-Strike retail from your cd or from "somewhere else". NOTE: This MUST be a pre-steam copy, Non steam or Steam Half Life copies will NOT work. 2. Half life retail users: Then, install the HL 1.1.1.0 update and the cs 1.5 client, in that order. Counter-Strike Retail users: Google "cs1005", and then download and install it to update your CS retail installation to v1.5. 3. Both users: Download the WON2 patch for players (http://v4.steamlessproject.nl/index.php?sid=&page=won2patch), and extract it. Now go to C:\Sierra\Half-life (Or Counter-Strike for retail users)\valve. Copy or drag the patch into that folder. When asked if you would like to overwrite, select yes. And you're done! Those are minimum steps for installing CS 1.5 and being able to play online again. Happy fragging! *****ADDITIONAL STEPS***** These additional steps are for players that want some of the extra features of won2, such as graphical enhancements and more. 1. HL 1.1.1.1 update: This update is for Half life users running v1.1.1.0 and CS retail users running v1.0.0.5. It can be downloaded here: http://v4.steamlessproject.nl/index.php?sid=&page=hl1111 2. HL 1.1.1.2 update: This is a major update for Half Life retail and CS retail users, featuring a new set of engine DLL'S. the blue tree fix, an updated Pingtool edition and more. It can be downloaded here: http://v4.steamlessproject.nl/index.php?sid=&page=hl1112
