The M4A1 (usually refered to as the Colt) is a formidable weapon. Many players prefer it than the AK-47. It features a silencer. It used to have a scope in earlier versions.

The Colt is quite accurate. The recoil tends to send the crosshair up and then about 15 degrees right. When shooting, shoot 2-3 bullets at a time. If you don't, the recoil will send bullets flying above your enemy's head. And before you know it, you're dead. Between the 2-3 bullet shots, wait half a second before sooting again. This gives time for the crosshair to close up and move back to it's starting position.

Shooting 2-3 bullets at a time is an effective way to kill, but there's also a way to kill by going full auto (pressing "fire" and not letting go which triggers the recoil). Going full auto is usually used when the enemy is about 2 metres away or closer. So to shoot them down from far distance, Aim below the enemy (probably at the ground) and shoot (see picture 2). This trick will probably get you headshots. However, you will have a 60% chance of missing your target. This trick requires a lot of practice.

The silencer will help kill a target without them noticing. It is effective when your team has very few survivors. And even if you miss, the enemy won't be able to find out where the sound came from. But I prefer to use the Colt withount the silencer. The silencer makes the crosshair wider which ruins the accuracy, and the Colt loses power when the silencer is on. Even if your target finds you when you shoot them without the silencer on, they would be dead before they even pull the trigger. Using the silencer requires practice. One more thing, when you're putting on the silencer, you can switch to another weapon and then back to the Colt. This way the silencer will be put on faster so that you don't have to wait.
