Hello, Im snah. This is a video tutorial that takes you through the process of decompiling, re-rigging, weighting, exporting and recompiling player models into counter strike: source.

Hahah! thanks a lot! :> I think i recognize your name from somewhere... Dont i? Didnt i play one of Flans skate maps with you one time? Anyway, no problem man, i felt the same way as you about this, i couldnt find ANYWHERE that would teach me this, so i just worked it out myself and i thought id share the knowledge :D.

Pros: Explanative; doesn't make assumptions about what you know, so it's easy to follow.
Improvements: This isn't a bitch, that's why theres no cons :) Maybe a little more prep like a dry run so it'd be a bit smoother e.g. so you'd know what order to import the textures etc.
Notes: Good tut.. using XSI myself but the method is pretty much the same. Thanks! :D

Feedback and requests are two very different things. Saying "i feel the video is too long" thats a feedback comment i cant take into account. BUT i would argue still that i needed to be that long. Saying "Can you make the video again?" is a request... Its like saying to Microsoft "Umm, yeh i like your PC's and all, but can you make one with a Mac case on it just for me?". Secondly you say he was "kindly" commenting me the whole time. He says "Of course, and try doing it a bit faster, i skipped half the video". Now, try if you can, to imagine you have spent 10 hours + learning how to do something and THEN you go OUT OF YOUR WAY to make a video tutorial on it. Your not geting paid here remember (people who use this word "customers", heres a definition: "refers to individuals or households that purchase goods and services generated within the economy." Wanna gimmie some money? Then ill happily do it again for you my client.) and then someone comes along and tells you "Oh yeah and... uuh, one other thing, do it a bit faster would ya? I got bored of it lol." Its like he was saying "Yeh, just like.. do the video for me again, and while you at it, speed it up a little bit, ive got to be at a dinner party at 10". I dont have time for this bullshit. Watch the video, give me some feedback, or gtfo. I dont need to be told to make my video again to meet someone else's needs. Thanks.


Requests are meant to be accepted OR Unaccepted. You could have kindly said: No I can't sorry. But I think this is good enough.

Wow, your pretty stupid then arnt you? There are about 3 mistakes in total.
1. i forget to take alyx's textures out the 1st time i'm in GCF scape, but i go back and get them... Its not so hard to under stand that.

2. I forget that you must export and re-import a model before you apply the skin modifier. But that is good in some ways because i explain it and it then just CTRL+Z and do it the right way, that was a good mistake imo becuase it helped to explain things.

3. I got alex's textures in the wrong order the 2nd time i imported her, but this is not my fault, MAX chooses randomly what order it wants textures to be imported in and gives no hint as to which textures it is looking for and in what order, so tbh, it wouldn't help me working that out for you becuase, chances are, it will be a different order for you.

If you couldn't be bothered watching just over 20 minutes of tutorial on an "ADVANCED" level... Then you shouldn't be learning to do this at all, in fact i suggest you DON'T do this tutorial, i don't want retards like you learning how to get player models into CSS, it will piss me off when you release bad models. Sorry, harsh but true.

Here Residentevil is in no wrong. He was giving feedback to you and speaking in a cheerful way, kindly noting that the video time is too long, and you had to quarrel back. And why should he be stupid if he thought the video was too long, or there were a few mistakes. We are the the "consumers" here, and we have every right to be unhappy against any mistakes in products.

And i havent released any bad models yet. Working on with one weapon model.. :P 5% ready or less

Although you scolded him, he still didn't take it seriously. He instead replied nicely and yet again was cheerful and even had a few smileys.

And then loyen comes in and throws insults at Resident. Loyen and Snah might have a few points right, but Snah seriously had no right to thumb resident down, or to scold him right away.

Whatever, this matters' up to tom, but I'm just saying a word of justice.
