JPEG Screenshots in TF2 Difficulty: Beginner

When you are posting screenshots on FPSBanana from TF2, you simply to to Browse and click your picture. But then you notice.. the format is .TGA! Wich isn't allowed on FPSB. So how do u solve this? Type: bind F5 jpeg in the console or in your config.cfg file You can change F5 to whatever button you like. Next time you take a screenshot, it will be in .JPEG format. Enjoy.

Posted by -s0lid Well Irfanview opens TGA files w/o any problem :) But i still give 10/10 to this tutorial. Most websites don't give TGA support, so it sucks to convert them every time.

Detail: Should include "jpeg_quality 100" as well, like Mils said. Readability: Short and sweet Usefulness: jpeg's ftw.

Notes: By typing only "jpeg_quality 100", you just get best quality jpeg each time you make a screenshot with the default key. You can adjust the quality 0-100 where 100 is the highest.

Well Irfanview opens TGA files w/o any problem :) But i still give 10/10 to this tutorial.

Posted by weboide Just note that jpeg quality is worse than the tga quality. Barely. If I have the quality at 100%, I can't tell a difference. Sure, the file-size is smaller, but that doesn't mean it'll looks worse. By the default setting, however, you are very correct.
