How apply custom textures on CS or CZ weapon skins Difficulty: Beginner |

1º: You need have "half life model viewer".
2º: Find the v_model that you want to customize and open the file.
3º: Go to textures, chose the texture that you wany and click on "export texture", chose the place that you want to put the texture and click in "save".
4º: Go to the directory that you save the file and "right click" on the file, click in "edit" or "open with..."* when open the program for edit (paint, photoshop, etc...) modify the texture how you want, save the file and close the program.
5º: Open the v_model with half life model viewer again, go to textures, chose the equivalent texture, and click on "import texture", find the modified texture and add to the model.
6º(Final): Go to "file" on the top of the half life model viewer, find "Save Model As...." and save with the name "v_xxxx.mdl" or the name that you want.
*NOTE: when you click on "open with" will open a screen with the program recommended for this work, that you click on "edit", will open (automatic) the default edit program, the "paint".
How remove the custom texture
1º: Go to the saved default texture on the directory that you chose to save the file and do same thing when you want to put the custom texture. |
