Hello! This is only for GeForce/Nvidia drivers (I think) I am going to tell or help you to get FPS 100 in CS 1.6! I m not sure does this affect anyhow CSS. If you notice something wrong Please tell me and ill fix it :) I am from Finland and i might have wrote something wrong -> Fixable! Also if you know some other way to do this, Please tell me and ill add it to here. Lets start.. ------------Way to do it #1----------- (Screenshot1) (Screenshot2) control panel -> manage 3D settings -> Vertical sync - Force off Or (Screenshot1) (Screenshot2) Desctop propeties - 3d-settings ->3d-manage settigns->...Settings : Force off Vsync / Vertical sync. (I think this is for higher than GeForce go 7600 because i cant do it that way) -----------Way to do it #2------------ (Screenshot1) Right down corner and click Nvidia settings with right mousebutton. Go to: NVIDIA-Screen -> Your screen - (Screenshot2) Window pops up.. Select Performance & quality settings - Search vsync or vertical sync from list and select it -> and force it off (Screenshot1) If you dont have Nvidia desktop icon, you can get to the same place from desktops propeties... _________________________________________ With theese settings your fps in 1.6 goes upto 100 Recommended commands to console for better gaming: fps_max 101 cl_dynamiccrosshair 0 cl_crosshair_size small cl_cmdrate 101 cl_updaterate 101 rate 25000 If you want even more.. type developer 1 into console, but that is kinda useless. 100 is enough =) _________________________________________ Some scripts works only with 60 fps. Example: Silent Run script works only with 60 fps. I added line behind of the script: fps_max 60 and fps_max 101 "+silentrun" "do this; Do that; blaahblaah; fps_max 60" and "-silentrun" "Dont do this; Dont do that; blaahlhabaa; fps_max 101" Of course that isnt from the real script but that is good example :) so everythime when you use silent run you fps goes down to 60 and when you dont use silent run it goes back to 101

I just needed to take off vertical sync! see, I was running 59-60 consistently. but I knew I could do better [running a 8500GT] took it off and instantly jumped to a consistent 99-100. thanks. =] No proplem :)

Posted by azagedon Also using the commands "devloper 1" and "fps_max 300" can make your fps go over 100 and up to 300, for some reason the max the game engine allows is 300 so ive heard.. Iwe gotta try that
