This is my guide on AWPing on CSS Training with the awp: Training on AWP maps is completely POINTLESS, youre better going for deathmatch servers or $16000 starting money servers running normal maps. i learnt to awp on cs office, which is close quarters and improves your reactions e.g the sidehall if your on T or garage if your CT AWP maps dont help much, i think the only 2 things you train on are avoiding the awp and in case of some maps, sniping at long ranges. Choice of pistol: My personal favourite is the desert eagle, because it takes 2 or 3 shots to kill, which is handy in a tight situation because of the power. After you fire the first shot, the accuracy degrades alot, so i only use it at point blank range. The P228 is a very hard gun to use as it is only a small amount stronger than the USP, but has 13 bullets in the clip and fires extremely fast compared to the deagle. i think it takes about 6 shots to kill but that may not be true. AWP tactics When you know there is somebody near you and your cover, you can crouch jump sideways in front of them, and about half a second after you hit the floor, fire at them and crouch jump back behind your cover. If you have no cover, you can crouch jump on the spot and fire after you hit the floor. this confuses them and has saved me many times xD When you reload your awp (after firing) always go behind cover, if not switch to your desert eagle to finish the others if any, off What you need to be a good awper (in my opinion) To be a good awper you need to find good positions to snipe from, and be very accurate, as many shots you take , if you miss they might be your last for that round. You need good reflexes so if you get jumped you can kill them fast. Thank you for reading :)

You forgot to mention like a dozen things, like including how to react to knifers, where to aim, or when it's appropriate to abandon your cover position.

Pros: Totally agree about awp_ maps being a waste of time. They're good for a laugh but thats really it. Cons: Goes off topic. Improvements: You're writing a guide on awping. No need to talk about pistols.

Training on an awp map IS pointless. You get no experience of awping in a real match, because the cover is way different from any professional map.

As others have said, it's not really a tutorial, just how you awp. If you think that training on an awp map doesn't help then you are an idiot. You have to learn how to counter-snipe other awpers so that you don't get wasted by them when you are picking. By awping against other awpers you get a much quicker reaction time and you learn to make your shots because if you miss then you will die. If you can pick off regular players easily but can't counter-snipe then you are worthless as an awper because then you will be allowing the other team's sniper(s) to dominate the field.

Yah, this isn't a tut at all. And it didn't help me any to learn how to use the awp. The best thing i'd suggest for learning how to use an awp is going into a deathmatch server and getting about 200 kills with the awp only. Then going to a regular server and playing with it tehre. If you still suck, go back to dm, get another 200 kills then go back to the regular server. Do this until you can easilly get a 2:1 kdr with the awp.

Is called a fucking AWM ffs... and this isnt a tut as said by mark paul... its just a story of your playing style... a tut should actually impove someones skill, not just show them how you do it. sorry
