This tutorial explains how to play single player maps in Halo CE. Enabling the Console: Well the first thing the you need to do is enable the console. The console allows you to type commands to the game for certain functions (like starting the single player map). Do to this you need to right click on your Halo Custom Edition desktop shortcut and select properties. Click the shortcut tab at the top and in the Target: textbox add this to the very end: -console See Screenshot A. Opening the Console: Now that the console has been enabled, open up Halo Custom Edition by using the desktop shortcut (it won't work if you launch through a different shortcut or program). Once you reach the main menu, hit the tilde key (~) to make a purple Halo( appear in the lower left hand corner. See Screenshot B. Running a single player map: Now that the console has been opened, you can run a single player (or multiplayer) map. Of course if you run a multiplayer map, it will not be on the internet. Make sure you know the name of the map you want to run and type: map_name sidewinder See Screenshot C. Of course, you replace "Sidewinder" with the name of the map you want to run. Now just hit the enter key and the map will start up! Now you can enjoy playing single player maps in Halo CE.
