In this tutorial i will explain how to take a model in 3ds max and turn it into a skin. This will include, simple modelling, simple skinning, uv-mapping, and finally compiling. What this tutorial will not cover is animating.
What we will be doing is modelling a simple sphere, uv mapping it, skinning some kind of texture onto it, then compiling it into counter strike source for the grenade.
Also be aware this tutorial is made to just show you the process of putting a model into the game, nothing more. Please don't post comments like "thats not a very good compile" etc, because i made it quickly just to give you an example of compiling and stuff. Don't judge my compile. There is no world model either, i will make a tutorial showing how to do that later.
Please make sure you have every program installed, as they will all be required. There is some substitutes for these programs, like different compilers and decompilers, gimp instead of photoshop etc, but i only show how to do it with the programs above.
