Loggan's Steam Issues Fix This guide is for you who is encountering problems with steam. It's the ultimate way to resolve your issues. Contents 1. Steam Support 2. Ports 3. Drivers/DirectX 4. Steam 5. Final words 6. FAQ 7. Credits Steam Support Before doing anything here make sure that you have searched and check Steams Support first. Ports Restart your router by pressing the small button on your router. Open ports: (check Portforward.com for instructions) UDP/TCP 27000-27020 TCP 7002 TCP 5273 - Start -> run -> cmd -> ipconfig/release -> ipconfig/renew Make sure that the firewall is not blocking your games Drivers Make sure that you have the latest drivers and the latest DirectX: Nvidia cards Choose "Graphics Driver" - Choose your graphicscard - choose your O/S (Operating System) - Download, install and reboot. ATI cards Choose your O/S (Operating System) -> Choose your graphiccard type -> choose your series -> Download, install and reboot. Make sure that you have installed .Net Framework 2 before installing the driver. Before doing next step you should download and install the latest DirectX Steam You are now erasing everything accosiated with steam - Uninstall steam - Navigate to C:/program and erase the steam/valve folder - start -> run... -> regedit -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> erase the steam/valve mappen - start -> run... -> regedit -> HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> SOFTWARE -> erase the steam/valve mappen - Restart your computer - Download Steam - Login and install your game - Install your game. - Allow it to update to 100%, otherwise the game usually dont work. Hmm well not bad but it should include more, it should also include links to the steam FAQ and your Q+A has only Q+Q.
