Non-valve games:
1. Press Print Screen while playing
2. Go to MSPaint and the edit options, click on Paste.
3. Save the picture as a JPEG.
4. Visit a hosting site such as Photobucket or Imageshack.
5.Upload the picture.
6.Copy the coding for the picture according to your needs (The small samples of the picture are called thumbnails.) Remember: this site uses HTML coding, BBcode is not allowed.
7.Paste on the forum reply window.
8.Submit.

Valve Games:
1.Press F5 to take the screenshot.
go to the screenshots folder located in the main folder of the game. E.G:

"C:/PROGRAM FILES/VALVE/STEAMAPPS/EMAIL/DAY OF DEFEAT SOURCE/DOD/SCREENSHOTS"

2. Upload the picture you want as mentioned above(steps 4-8 on the non-valve games section) and follow the same procedure.

If you have already hosted your picture then all you need to do is use this simple HTML code:
< img src="insert web address of picture here" alt="insert title here" >
(I've allowed extra space in between the words img and the <> order to make the coding visible.)

P.S: If the screenshot is from an old game (i.e. CS1.6) you will have to change the format of the picture from .bmp to .JPEG, as .bmp files can be too big and exceed hosting size limits or slowdown the loading of a page based on the size of the file.

Not bad at all, definitely good for beginners. You don't need the spaces in the image tag though you can just use characters codes. Also, it should end with /> instead of just > and the alt attribute is not for titles.

It is on the temporary memory of your PC. You need to follow the procedure as posted on the tut (paste on paint, etc.)
