how to edit CS:S hands Difficulty: Beginner |

Ok.. to start of with! Programs:
u will need:-
- weapons with CS:S arms
- HL Model Viewer (on this site)
- Paintshop pro (or paint (CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP) but paint doesnt really work). you can get paintshop pro for free.. but goes for 30 days... what i do is when the trial ends, i just download it again. lol
-Xnview (FREE) (on the net)
1. u need a skin that has CS:S arms.
2. Open HL Model viewer (HLMV) and go file > open, and open the weapon skin with the CS:S hands..
3. Once it is open, there are tabs at the bottom.. click the 'textures' tab.
4. On the left the is a drop down... with files in it.. click that then find the picture that looks like the one on the right of this message.
5. once u have selected it.. click EXPORT on the right, and save it somewhere where ull remember it..
6. Open up Paintshop pro, and open the .bmp that u just exported.
7. now u can edit it.. DRAW A FACE OR WAT EVA U WANT...
8. save ur picture, the open up Xnview.
9. Open the glove file that u were just drawing on. then go to image > convert to colours > 256 (adaptive).
10. SAVE.. then open up HLMV again, and go to textures, THEN, on the right click import.. and import the image that u drew on!
NOTE: BE SURE NOT TO CHANGE THE SIZE OR FORMAT OF THE IMAGE. |
