1) navigate to "C:\Program Files\Valve\SteamApps\account_name\counter-strike\valve\media" if u dont have that folder/folders make them. 2) add a mp3 song to media folder named "gamestartup.mp3" 3) enjoy!!! if it does not work 1) bad mp3 file 2) not a mp3 file 3) u put the file in wrong place 4) not named right Q's james007torres24@gmail.com

Old, been using it since 1.6 shifted to Steam. LOL. My start up song is "Where Is The Love" by Black Eyed Peas.

U guyz might just have the name wrong try naming it "gamestartup" i think u guyz might be nameing it "gamestartup.mp3.mp3" even tho u only see "gamestartup.mp3" so just try "gamestartup" but make sure its a mp3 file.

Guys... U put it in /sounds/music/ then u put gamestartup.mp3..

No, no, no... I done this like this: First, i went to my "WinAmp-musiikki" directory. Then i copy/pasted "System of a down - Holy Mountains.mp3" to: d/program files/steam/steamapps/xxx/counter-strike/CSTRIKE/ Then i made directory called "media" and pasted it to there. Then i renamed it as: "gamestartup.mp3" AND REMEMBER, PASTE IT TO COUNTER-STRIKE/CSTRIKE/MEDIA, NOT VALVE/MEDIA

I can't get this to work with CZ. Any idea HOW? I tried it my own way by renaming a song to be EXACTLY the same as the normal one in EVERY WAY EXCEPT LENGTH. This is one thing I can't get to work.

Gamestartup.mp3 is a mp3 song u download or something like music like SUGER-Sysem of a down.mp3 then u rename it gamestartup.mp3.

No the folder is named media and u put a .mp3 file/song in it named gamestartup.mp3. maby u should try another mp3 to check if ur mp3 works

Okay its not working, i put a file the media folder named gamestartup.mp3. So does the file just go into the media folder and the file name is gamestartup.mp3 or is the folder name gamestartup.mp3
