This is a very useful program, with a great compression power.

7-Zip is a file archiver with a high compression ratio.

The main features of 7-Zip

High compression ratio in new 7z format with LZMA compression

Supported formats:

Packing / unpacking: 7z, ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2 and TAR

Unpacking only: RAR, CAB, ISO, ARJ, LZH, CHM, Z, CPIO, RPM, DEB and NSIS

For ZIP and GZIP formats, 7-Zip provides a compression ratio that is 2-10 % better than the ratio provided by PKZip and WinZip

20 gigs = 70 mbs ? Is that possible ? Cuz I have compressed ones a 3 gb file and it didnt even deceased its size

Pros: It seems to compress things well. Cons: The UI didn't work for me very well... I couldn't figure out how to do what I was trying to do with it. (I was trying to put together a split file, and actually needed WinRar.)

This tool is fucking amazing. I've seen 20 gigs compacted into 70 mbs. Now thats what i call compression!

This has been tested and the results have shown that this has the best compression ever. like out of ANY compression type, 7z is the best. i love it. i compress ALL my backups with it. it's fast, strong, and compresses alot more than winrar or winzip.
