The black hole's stupidational forces were sucking the rest of the site into it. It has been deactivated indefinately.



This is outrageous! I will not have my kingdom destroyed do to the bickering of bureaucrats! If the Black Hole is destroyed... Where will I vent my anger and mindless talk??? It is not the Black Hole's fault that some people can't take a joke! The Black Hole is an essential part of FPSB culture!

I can't decide whether I'm glad that it was laid to rest or outraged that it has been murdered. I'm definitely going to have to rethink the Black Hole module I've been working on, lol. Give me an hour and I'll think of some way of turning this around.

Unfortunately, what happens in the black hole doesn't stay in the black hole, and i don't blame people for this. If someone is being attacked in the black hole can you honestly expect them to completely disregard this and on the main site act like nothing ever happened?

If the black hole was the only reason you liked FPSB, then i welcome your leaving.

I haven't been too keen on the Black Hole for a long time but this does seem kind of harsh. A lot of the most interesting parts of FPSB have been cut away over the years - the hosted sites, the arcade, Battle Island, the adult content, and now the Black Hole (although those last two overlap considerably). I realize there were reasons for each one but at least with the last two I think a compromise would have been better (albeit more complicated).

It's gone, it's over. There's nothing left we can do. I'd rather see it dead than given over to hordes of emo crybabies. I think tom made the right decision. Maybe one day I'll get a url called theblackhole and it will look like the blackhole, but it won't be affiliated with the site at all.

I don't really see a problem. Doesn't make much sense for people to complain about a section of the site where everyone went to type like a moron being deleted. Save it for the IRC or something. It seems to me most people are just upset because the Black Hole has been on the site forever, and they feel like a part of history is being wiped from the slate.

It's possible to create a black hole user module and host the content on another site, but if it leads to personal attacks and other e-drama it'll have to be removed.

You know, I haven't been on very much lately, but this site has been going downhill for a while now, I don't know why you guys find this as such a shocker.
