Note
Maps are my main example here, but this idea is in no way limited to just maps. Skins, scripts, tutorials etc... all take time and effort to be done well and deserve the rewards mentioned below.
I have noticed lately that two people can submit their own map or skin, and both receive the same amount of points. This is fine and does not need to be changed.
However, if someone submits a small, very basic textured map with bugs, then someone comes and submits an immense, realistic map without bugs, there should be a second system for rewarding all the extra time and effort put into the bigger map.
Then it hit me, the system is 90% there. The CSA approval ratings should be directly converted to points for the author! If you are voted 10 / 10, you would receive 10 points. If you are voted 5 / 10, you receive 5 points.
Currently, i think after 30 assessments the assessing finishes and the map is given an overall rating. I think the assessing should be allowed to continue after the map has been given a rating to allow the author to keep receiving these small amounts of points and get what they truly deserve for their submission.
It has the potential to earn up to 1000 points if you are assessed 10 / 10 one hundred times. That is very hard to do and i believe the points reward is still very reasonable and balanced.
Example
Small crappy map: 20 x 6 / 10 = 120 points
6 x 5 / 10 = 30 points
4 x 4 / 10 = 16 points
Author receives 166 bonus points for their submission.
Immense, pretty map: 20 x 10 / 10 = 200 points
6 x 9 / 10 = 54 points
4 x 8 / 10 = 32 points
Author receives 286 bonus points for their submission.
Of course, assessments from your own studio members would still not be counted.
