When you create a tutorial, you need to upload an image that displays something relevant to the what the tutorial is teaching, not just your username.

Yes, that is fair enough for most submissions.

However, i don't believe this should be applied to submissions in the scripting categories.

There is no point writing a script, then having a picture of the script in notepad next to it. It is redundant and ugly and wastes space on FPS Banana.

My suggestion is making screen shots for scripting & scripting tutorials optional, and only force screen shots for skins, map etc...

Anyone else agree with this?

Yeah this works for skins, maps etc... but how appealing is notepad? Seriously, it's down right ugly... it has a white background and crappy text. This would look terrible in the default FPS Banana theme when sifting through the tutorial list.

The only script i can see a screenshot being useful for is an on screen custom menu using the echo command. However, this can't be done as Valve declared developer 1 a cheat cvar and this style of menu does not work anymore.

That's why screenshots should be optional when your tutorial category drop down box has selected the "Scripts" section of any game.
