Hi,

I bought a new pc with VISTA and a Ati Radeon HD4850 with the needable drivers. But now I cant select things in hammer 3.4 anymore. I can fly around, but I cant select or aply textures anymore in 3D view.

Whats the problem?

ps; those old atioglxx.dll drivers files dont work here in vista

The problem is the new ATI-drivers. See if you can find a solution in this thread.

Just **** ATI and use an NVIDIA card.

You must get the vista ATI drives, search in Baixaki. You must know which are your needed files. for that use te program AIDA
On the middle of zeros and ones, don't be a zero, be the one!

You should file a bug-report to ATI and maybe they'll fix it in the next driver-release.

It should be easy to get the lastest driver ? Don't you have ATi Catalyst installed on your computer ?

Hey,, i got the same problem when i updated my drivers (Catalyst) the new one (CCC) got me that problem.. i now use my laptop to map.. as in for that problem, probably only on the next release of drivers! :S dont know.. but if you can get something tell me! ;)

I had this problem but have figured out how to make it work again.
The new Catalyst drivers that you need to run current games will NOT let you select items in 3d view of VHE. The old catalyst Drivers will allow you to do so eg; catalyst 7.11 and previous versions.

The only thing I can do is load the old drivers (not the catalyst suite) when I want to map, and load the new drivers when I want to play games. That is the only way I have found out which works.

Every mapper which has a ATI graphic card must do that
