I need to know how to change a smoke grenade model to a frag grenade

In C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<yourid>\counter-strike source\cstrike\models\weapons\ ename all v_eq_smokegrenade.* to v_eq_fraggrenade.* and all v_eq_fraggrenade.* to v_eq_smokegrenade.*. Replace <yourid> with your Steam nickname.

The simplest way is Win + RcmdOK
cd "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\<yourid>\counter-strike source\cstrike\models\weapons\"
RENAME "v_eq_smokegrenade.*" "v_eq_fraggrenade2.*"
RENAME "v_eq_fraggrenade.*" "v_eq_smokegrenade.*"
RENAME "v_eq_fraggrenade2.*" "v_eq_fraggrenade.*"
exit


(backup your models folder before doing this)

You don't need to do that. Well it will not work, it will not do anything lol. The texture path is verified in the mdl so it remains the same even if the mdl/model is to replace the flash nade.

OK, so you need to decompile it and then compile it with modified QC file. Right?

Nah, as long as the animations are in the same order it should work just to rename the model files. But if you miss one it fucks up. Should be 5 files for v model and 6 for world/player model.

Well someone please change the new newport ciggerette skine into a handgreneade

so i can make

handgrenade malboro reds

and smokegrenade newports
