Microphone Help I can hear my microphone through the speakers, but I can not record sound.

Hello FPSB community, My headset is a "Andrea Anti-Noise NC-95" it has two standard plugs. One for the voice recording and one for the headset. The problem is I can hear my self through the speakers bu when I go to test my sound I get nothing. I can scream, I can yell but my computer picks up nothing. I tried looking for audio devices, this did not work. I plugged my headset in and rebooted. Still nothing. Even googled microphone problems, they said "Go to the volume setting, click on options, then properties then check the recording box. My recording block is grayed out for some odd reason, so i can not select it. I am using a Realtek HD Audio Manager for my audio managing :P. If anyone here knows what to do to get my microphone to work I will be very grateful, i would give points but this is my first ever submission of anything onto the FPSBanana community. Make sure you run your installation Disk one more time before doing below... ======================================================= Go to your Control Panel (Start Menu -> Control Panel) and now click: Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices. Click: sounds and audio devices. Click the audio tab. Now, under: Default Device, click either: The name of your headset, or Realtek HD audio output. Do the same thing under Sound Recording. Now, click the Voice tab. Choose either your Headsets name "adrea's w/e" or Realtek HD Audio Input. Click OK, and exit out of the pop-up boxes. Go to (Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accesories -> Entertainment -> Sound Recorder) Record anything, and play it to make sure it works. ~~August Burns Red~~

It wont let me pick the Andrea Anti-Noise NC-95 off the list. Also I have no install disk. I followed you steps by the way and it's not picking anything up off the sound recorder

I got it like way back. I believe it was walmart. It was completely sealed I think I just lost the disk

Sorry to tell you, but no. Every headset runs on it's own files... If you don't have the files from the disc, the headset won't function. ~~August Burns Red~~

Try searching google for "Andrea Anti-Noise NC-95 CD files" or something... Remember google is your friend (clichê?)
