The New School Year... It's almost here...

So, I don't know if many of you know this about me, but I'm homeschooled, and have been that way ever since 3rd grade. Well, to get my diploma, I either have to start another year of homeschooling with credits, or go back to public school ( which I really do not want to do ). But, to be homeschooled longer, I have to take a bunch of extra courses. I have to learn Spanish and French, advanced science, advanced history, and an option between violin or advanced mathmatical courses. When I heard that I had to do all of that crap to be homeschooled another year, I was hesitant, and I still am. I don't really know what to do. Should I take all of that for my personal benefits, or go back to public school... I don't have a problem with alot of the advanced classes, though. I'm just worried about the extra book reports and science projects. I'm an extreme procrastinator, and never finish those things on time. For example, last year I didn't even start 2 of my book reports until the day before they were supposed to be finished... So, enough about me; let's hear about you. What are looking forward to about the new school year, or what are you dreading about it? I would like some help on my problems too, however. EDIT: Please do not say that I am anti-social. I have like... 40 close friends and 16 girls I hang out with all the time. I have plenty of social-time.

Procrastination is like masturbation, either way your fucked! Nah, I do things at the last minute, and I managed to pull off a 4.0 GPA. Public school has one advantage: tons of bewbs (of girls)

The first week of school is cool to see friends and all the new people and chicks. After that, its all FAIL. Is homeschooling hard?

Go for the public school, for the social aspect. You'll learn necessary social skills and make friends. I have a friend that's home schooled and it's surprising he knows how to even talk to people.

Well, it depends on what kind of person you are. If you are an intelligent person with their priorities in order, it's easy. If your not that kind of person, it will be very hard.

I could never be home schooled. I go to a public high school and I love it. Unless you're terribly anti social, you'll make some good friends easy. Just talk to people, that's the hardest part. After that, you'll be making friends in no time.

Personally, I would go to Public School, because you get a lot of social interaction, and you get introduced to many people. This helps developing social skills and whatnot, and also builds friendship that have the potential to last a lifetime. As for my school year, I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I don't get put in shit classes(though for the past two years, I've been set with all of my classes, since I got all good ones for each year), and I'm really looking forward to the Broadcasting class I'm taking. I can ask for a pass to go outside to film something, go outside with my friends and film the ground for an hour, come back in and say that we finished with the outside filming.. then, once we put it all together say we scrapped the footage because it wasn't necessary. Also, I can ask for a pass to go through the halls anywhere I want. If a teacher asks for a pass, I can just say that I'm filming for broadcasting(having a camera at hand, of course), and be let off. As for my other classes, I'm kinda bummed that I didn't get into some of my friend's coastal studies class, which is pretty much the Junior science class that everyone fucks around in, but I can't wait to see who's in that class because I know about, 30 or so people who are taking it, so I HAVE to be put in the class with some people I know. And the teacher is somewhat of a twat, tbh. Speaking of teachers, I get a new homeroom teacher when the school year starts, which will be my third different homeroom teacher in high school(you're supposed to have 1 HR teacher for the 4 years, but our first one retired, and the second one is transferring to a different school, so I hope said teacher is either super fucking hot, or a teacher that doesn't really give a fuck what you do). Grades-wise, I plan on improving and really busting my ass.. since I'm in the classes below honors level, I plan on improving my effort level, in hopes of advancing to honors in the majority of my classes, and if all goes according to plan, continue that into senior year, so colleges will notice it, giving me a better chance of making it into an esteemed college. Wow, that was a lot. TL;DR I'm looking forward to next year.

I learn, however, through instructional DVDs and alot of bookwork. Homeschooling is not hard, though. I start my day roughly at... 8:00am and end at 2:00pm. I make A's in every subject except English, too.

You're what every teenager wants to be. :) I guess, I really wanted to direct as a kid but as i got older I really thought anything to do with a major part of a film is great so I just pushed towards somthing that I can do while using a computer(lazy) and what better than editing, but its not only me its a staff of about 8-9 people but we get the job done...

Well i am going to be a senior, last year until i hit it big and go to collage. but its all good. more chicks to see, even though my school never hit past 30 kids. So what ever, we'll see whats up soon :DD

So what ever, we'll see whats up soon :DD 30 kids total or 30 in a classroom? We have about 30 in a classroom. My class, the senior class that is, consists of around 400 people. I really don't know, I can't say I know anything about home schooling, other than the fact that it is still school. It's really a choice you are going to have to make on your own.

Ehh it's not like they teach you anything meaningful in public school anyway. Homeschooling might be a better option. Umm, going to university for my jr year this fall. I hope I can make some friends but I have that hope at the start of every school year and it is never realized. Maybe I'll just eventually get my BA and get a job somewhere and have enough free money to work on cars in my spare time. That's a more realistic hope.
