Ok well the title say it all, I need some help with cooling my CPU :)

Ok so I am getting a Intel Core 2 Duo E4800 3.0GHz ive heard that it is prone to overheating so I bought a case that shows my CPU'S tempreture what would you say a stable tempreture is?. Also I was thinking of buying a special cooling fan or should I keep the one that comes with it?. My next queiery is about thermal adhesive will I need to put this on my CPU or should some such as thermal tape come with my new CPU?.

I would say check Newegg.com to find a big heatsink/fan combo that will fit it.
Yes, you should always put arctic silver between your processor and heatsink. Just don't put too much on. Search and read around as to how much you should stick on there. I suggest applying it with a packing peanut.

I've never heard of the E4800, but what I can find on it suggests it will run at 2.8GHz not 3.0GHz. What a stable temperature for your cpu is depends on what stepping the cpu is. If you aren't overclocking, then the stock fan should be fine. The heatsink which comes with the cpu is going to have a thermal pad on it, and again if you aren't overclocking, that will be fine.

Thermal tape and thermal glue are not for processors. Do not purchase a thermal adhesive unless you know exactly why you are using it. Just get something like this for generic heatsink usage.

Back to cooling devices. Yes, third party cooling is usually a good idea. Some heatsinks do come with a bit of thermal compound (something like Shinetsu), but never count on it unless you're using the stock cooler.. In fact, you can easily wipe off the old compound and use your own if you so desire. Temps I like to see are 30-40C idle, 50-60C load. Your mileage may vary.

Yeah you must have an E8400. These actually run very cool and the stock cooler should be fine assuming you have it installed properly. Stock Intel coolers take lots of force to get on, so if you're running hot you probably don't have it installed properly.

If you get a new cooler, it usually comes with thermal paste/thermal grease, with instructions on how to apply it (not stupid things like using a packing peanut).
