Cannot connect to a css server Cannot connect to a css server, plz help

I click join server tab, and it loads just as it should, except it always freezes up on "Sending Client info" like 2 bars before you actually get into the server. I've rebooted my computer numerous times, turned off my firewalls, turn of connection security, and none of this works. (I'm not going to re-dwnld CSS cuz im to lazy.) It has never done anything like this for 3 months. Does anyone know what the problem is? P.S. I've re-downloaded all of my in game skins and switched some around to assure that those are not the problem.

Hey that happened to me, can you get into CS:S and see the server list with a load of servers in it? If you can and cant join because of that do this. 1. Right click on selected server and view info. 2. Highlight the IP address and ctrl + c (copy) and go into your developer console. 3. type this eg. - connect 181.91.5.180:99999. The connect part is needed to join the server so basically connect (ip address) without ( ) That should work because it worked for me

Hmm this seems to happen to me but when i wait for a little while i get in this doesn't happen so much in css as it does in tf2 for me any way although css still does take a little while

Well sometimes i wait like 5-10 minutes and still nothing...but ill try letting it sit for a long time and see. Btw blindchild i tryed what u said but It still wa snot responding and the window popped up "you chose to end the non-responsive program, hl2.exe.

CS:S could be loading slower because of custom skins.

Well i downloaded like 5 new 1s last night...but i dont see how that could affect it that much...could it make it load that slow

Try backing up your skins and deleting them. they could be causing errors or something.

Is it any css server or just one particular one ?

T-BAG-T Coheed and Cambria FTW. Perhaps if you can't be assed to re-install CSS you should. It might actually solve your problem. If you keep trying different methods the time waited is going to be longer then re-installing the game.
