CS not working with vista 32

I have home edition and it works fine but my friend has vista 32 and whenever he runs it he gets half life.exe has stopped working, idk maybe its not even a vista problem per say i just dont know how to fix it.

Your friend's CS was bought or he downloaded? If He downloaded, that's the problem. Maybe Vista 32 isn't compatible with CS (if he bought...)

Even though I Hate Vista, most of the problems my friend encounter with it is that you always have to run in administrator mode. I don't know how to do that, nor do I know if it's the problem, only A thought.

Yes I have both done compatibility and tried running it as an admin.

Try re-installing, the file might simply be corrupt, though, the chances for that is small.

He has an alien ware AMD Dual core 3800+ with 2 gigs of ram, 200GB Hard drive and a Geforce 8800 so Its not his specs and he can run Source perfectly without any problems which is why maybe he should reinstall CS or maybe vista has blocked HLL. Although when ran the unblock or keep blocking option never came up.

You don't know what you are talking about. There's no reason that Vista would cause the game to crash, I just got out of Counter Strike actually about 10 minutes ago. Also, downloading it has nothing to do with this problem, considering the fact that CS is only distributed through digital download now... I'd say that your biggest problem is that the game is just simply not installed correctly. Verify your cache, delete all traces of the game as possible and do a fresh install.

I would use a mac, but they have problems, and whenever I use one, all I remember is that comercial. HAI I'M A MAC Hallo I'm a pc.
