When i first get into tf2 i can play pretty smoothly but after about 5 minutes i start to lag. My fps drops down to 9 and i basically cant play. Its like im watching a flip book. Does anyone have a clue why it does this cus i dont have a clue.

Uhh i only have a 40gb hard drive lol and only have 12.5gb of free space

Its either ur GPU is overheating or CPU is overheating. And i know the feeling of playing with 9-19FPS, i run TF2 with a EVGA 6200LX and a AMD athlon 2800+ 1.3 GHz lol. Uh i recomend that u download SpeedFan and when ur TF2 starts to lag, exit the game and open Speedfan, it will tell u all the temps of ur computer that they put a guage in. If its ur video card, buy an aftermarket fan or a fan that plugs into a PCI 1.0/1.1 slot. If its ur GPU get an aftermarket fan and heatsink. It even might be ur hard drive, do u know how much RPM it is? (like 7200RPM or whatever). Oh it might be ur hard drive is heating up over the limit too.

Yeah i can post the temps when im done, cus i have no idea whats hot or whatever and i dont got a clue what the RPM is

Alright its a heating problem, i just put a fan blowing into my tower and it runs smooth, now i just need something so i dont have to do that!!
