Xfire is not working for me!

Xfire is just not working for me. I am sorry if the title of this thread might mislead you. I do not mean that it is crashing. All that I am saying is that it slows down my gaming experience. I play Counter-Strike, but it either crashes the game due to Xfire or it slows it down. The crashes that occur is probably a chat-system bug (I have read this somewhere that it does sometimes crash). Besides that, my fps is low with xfire enabled; so I have to disable it to get the fps I usually get so then what would be the point of Xfire :p Anyways, sorry for my rant, do any of you guys have any tips to help me through this dilema?

Hmm weird,I never have a slowdown with xfire, what's your specs? Are you using ATI tray tools?They are known to cause xfire and steam overlay problems...

Could it be that you have a integrated Intel graphic card and a Intel pentium M 1.50Ghz CPU and it's a laptop? I my self have no problem with Xfire crashing or slowing down games. Xfire only crashes games when the computer have been going nonstop for over 24hours without restart.

Hmm. I will try all of your tips. Especially the 24 hour without restart post.

Well I would like to point out that my voice does not register on Xfire. I tried to talk to someone over it and no sound goes through my mic. My mic works with AIM, CS:S, and TS and any other programs that support it, but not xfire for some reason. It use to work fine, but it just stopped working today. It is really odd. Sorry to go offtopic, but I felt this was somewhat relevant to this thread.
