Anyone know how to do this? Would like to play song full blast on phone and not have the distortion that makes you shudder at the thought of those precious speakers getting damaged.

Well i googled hz something and it let me play a 300hz tone and it had bass, so i hit effects, equalizer and removed 100-300 hz and it seems to remove most of the bass, but I would like a better method, or at least be more sure of what I'm doing.

Audacity can lower the bass but most likely cannot export to the correct format. Cell phones either use midi or 3GP (AAC). I would recommend against using midi since it's just a series of tones. The tones, then, are completely dependant on what your phone is. 3GP ringtones are the real thing. MediaCoder should be able to convert it if you're able to use Audacity to lower the bass.
GENERATION 20: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.

Trebble boost or Bass Reduce would make it clearer.

What kind of cheap phones do you think we have? I have the nokia 5310 xpressmusic (plays AAC, eAAC+, MP3, MP4, WMA, AMR) and my GF has the samsung katalyst and the Samsung SGH-t639, both play mp3.
