Hi there! Not sure if i should ask this question through Yahoo Answers, Answerbag, or Wikianswers, but i thought you fine people here at FPSB may be a bit knowledgeable with video... since every gaming console system usually requires some sort of video import, with the exception of PC and computer monitors xD

I am in need of some help. The 1970s standard television that i have played games on since i was a fetus is about to get owned by its age.. (the screen is blackening).

I would like to purchase a projector and would like to know what projector would be the best suitable for my conditions.

I am cheap, don't care too much for High Definition (though it would be nice). I don't have any knowledge of what a '1080p' means or have any idea what brands are the most superior among others. As for the audio, i would prefer to hook the sound up through my stereo receiver instead of having it play through the projector.. you know, those video/audio cables.. is this possible?

I need some suggestions! Thanks in advance xD

Just for your help... the white screen can just be a sheet of white fabric. It has no relevance to the projector at all (it just helps by giving a smooth white surface to project onto).

He's right. You don't need to buy a screen. Screens are just for rooms where the walls may be cinder block or brick, such as in a school. A white or similarly light color flat surface will suffice.

i can project it onto a wall in a room? would it make much of a difference in the picture?? could i use a regular white bed sheet? i would need to cover holes in the wall made from hanging pictures and shelves..

Okay, so i have understand i need no screen; that i can just about project it on pretty much anything as long as the video is sitting on a flat smooth surface.. but what about the projector?? that's the main component i am looking for.

edit: I suppose asking and looking around at other places would give me some more information. Thanks for your help.
