Hey there, I've already read the tutorial and readme's in various player / weapon skins I have downloaded. But for some reason only a couple skins will work but others will not. I Have installed a new black suit spy skin and a revolver skin. I am trying to install the Balisong Reborn skin for the knife except it will not work. Similar to a sniper rifle and a few others I have tried.
I have created the folders Models/Player and weapons in the tf folder and I proceed to put the weapons skins in the weapons folders and the player skins in the player folder, but still, some choose to not work. I was hoping for someone experience to please help me with this and not instantly reject me for 'not reading the tutorial' which I already have done. Thank you for any responses, it will be greatly appreciated.

Lets see, which ones are appearing? if its just player models, its the server, if its some random skins, u did it wrong

Yeah it's just the weapons skins that I care about most which several are not appearing. PM me your Steam name so we can talk much easier.

Sadly, valve released the new "sv_pure" command along with team fortress 2, allowing server admins to choose what custom stuff clients can use, and what will be over ridden by default.
most servers over-ride everything.

The Tempest is my favorite server, because it allows almost everything, and the people on it are great.
I think F-Zero is a pretty cool guy. eh falcn pawnches and doesn't afraid of anything!

How do some skins work though. If sv_pure is on, then shouldn't all of the skins not work?

No, cuz...well, heres the breakdown, if u havent seen it in other threads ive posted in:
sv_pure 0 all skins allowed
sv_pure 1 player skins only
sv_pure 2 UR FUCKED

Indeed
Your skins may not work cos they're not in the right folders or they're not correctly named. Inside the weapons folder each weapon has a folder of it's own, named (for most cases) exactly like the vtf file inside.
