Ok this is the
Thing.
I got 3ds max 10 (2008). And I now as I have this student apartment I can't go home and work in it as usual so I stay here all school days on my school laptop. Now. I've asked my school if I can use 3ds max or maya or any 3d program on the laptop. They said no, but one program they letted me to use. Wings3D .

Now. As the pc would handle 3ds max well (Dual core 1.86ghz, 768MB ram, VIA Chrome9 HC IGP), I want someone to help me out here. The
Point
is, as I have looked in the registry, 3ds max adds a lot of new files to the registry. Now.. If someone is able to do this, or anything, I would really like if someone could try to make a register cleaner for 3ds max registry files (just like the milkshape3D registry cleaner).

Payment? Yes, we could do that.

edit1
Another thing is that if I can't do this, I would move back home and go up 2hours earlier and come home 2hours later just so I could work on school days in 3ds max too. As I got sleeping problems and stuff here in my apartment and am feeling to alone (noone I know lives here).

I believe CCleaner covers most 3rd party registry.

I think my schools technical support and teachers are in known of that program already (they take the laptops from you one week and clean it up so you get it back just as you got it first time if you get caught)..

Couldn't you manually delete them in regedit?

Couldn't you manually delete them in regedit?

I've no idea. I never really mess around in there. I'd try googling it first though.
If you know enough that you know it won't mess anything up, I'd go for it.

As I don't got my PC with 3D studio max around here (at apartment) can you tell me if that's the only ones? (the folders for programs are always in a "software->-companyname-" folder (not always but almost always)). look in those folders so I know those are the only ones kinda. :P

Also, I've tried google several times with no luck.

Well I was looking around in there while posting and actually found quite a lot of 3ds folders. I'll go find 'em again and post.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT after all the ".word" ones, there's a bunch of 3ds*** folders.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Autodesk > 3dsmax
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > Software > Autodesk > 3dsmax & others
HKEY_USERS > S-######etc(last one, not _classes) > Software > Autodesk > 3dsmax

That's all the places I could find 3dsmax folders. Yes I have 3dsmax :D.
Sorry for double post.
I'll say again, I have no idea which file does what as I don't mess with the registry at all. Just trying to help by telling you where the keys are.
