Hi I currently own a Asus Maximus formula which uses pci express 2.0 which increases the bandwith.My ati 3870 x2 gprahic card supports pcie 2 but when I look at Catalyst control center it shows im Using Pci express,x16 can someone help

PCI-e x16 has had multiple versions, 1.0, 1.1, and now 2.0. They have all been PCI-e x16 though.

I have to bump this to tell you what an idiot you are. Obviously the pci-e 2.0 is not a "physical update" meaning that the graphics card is "slower" as you think. The update is in the motherboards bios. So update your fkn bios if you still got a problem. Or you're making shit up.

PCI-e 16x 2.0 is only a double width PCI-e slot... I red it on my eVga 9800GTX box. You can throw shit at crazypipp (even though he's right) but you ain't throw whit at eVga.
