I im looking forward to buying TF2, but i dont have many downloads left on my internet and was just wondering if i buy it direct from steam ill have to download it through internet. But if i went down to JB-HI FI or a game superstore and buy tf2 will i still have to download it? thanks guys

If you buy it from a store you will install it through a pc and just install updates, if you buy from steam you have to download the whole thing

Pardoned after a year
If you buy it in a store, you'll install the game base and then Steam will download any necessary updates for the game. You'll download less that way.

Download speeds and whatnot. Bandwidth can deal with any type of data transfer.

Buy it from steam because u can stop the downloading when you want, and if reach your bandwidth limit, u can run the game even tho its not fully installed
steam is the way to go

lol that doesnt make sense. if you dont finish downloading the game, how will you play it? maybe with updates it can play with like 98%, but that doesnt mean you wont be using any more bandwidth.
Qlimax, bandwidth is like a tunnel, and the more you have of it the wider it gets, being able to dl more.
but its much faster to install from a cd. buy it retail.
I think F-Zero is a pretty cool guy. eh falcn pawnches and doesn't afraid of anything!

steam allows u to play games that arent done downloading, and when a game needs something that isnt downloaded yet, it retrieves it, top priority, from steams database

A perfect working PC is only a doorstop.
Buy it at the store. I had better luck with inatalling than downloading. The only issue you'll have is that there are a lot of maps out there so you'll have to download THOSE, but I think the game itself isn't really that big.

This isn't going to work, aether way your going to use bandwidth becuase for one downloading the game of steam or when you buy it at store and install it your going to have to download to get into servers and such anyway.... So really it doesn't save much bandwidth.

Or you could be like me and turn off all custom content whatsoever. Thats the way to go when you play. No gay models or sounds ^^
