WTF Can't Fix! I've almost tried everything.

I'm trying everything but to reinstall... everything is up to date drivers etc. This has started to come up every time i try to play COD4, like i get into the game and then all my setting are at as low even though i can run my setting on medium fine, specially game res is like at 640x what ever i forget but its really bad and when i try to change it the game crashes and this comes up. IT could be your video card, or maybe your computer. Maybe you might have to......format it EDIT: did you try to Uninstall COD4?

Disable your Windows Blinds theme and go back to the default XP theme. Sometimes they can interfere with each other.

Hmm maybe to many things going at once to handle that with playing a game. sometimes there can be to many processes at once that it can only handle so much. ur video card sounds like it could be part of that. i have an abit nf8-v2 mobo and an ati radeon 9800 pro shitty but still does the trick. also same ram u have. only way to really find out is by someone being there who knows there stuff. just so u can have them start up the comp and then see what it could be. change anything in the bios? if not then dont mess with it. if u dont know anything of it.
