Remove the shine from weapons Help pl0x

Can someone help me to get rid of the shine on weapons - i am trying to make a rusty machete. Hugs/sex/cookies/points if you do! Sorry for being so brief

If you go into the material (.VMT) files in the TF2 .GCF's, there should be lines that make the shininess work. I don't know how to explain it very well, since I don't have TF2 installed right nao.

Example for the machete: open up v_machete.vmt or w_machete.vmt and delete the following lines: "$envmap" "env_cubemap" "$envmaptint" "[.35 .35 .35]" "$phong" "1" "$phongexponent" "25" "$phongboost" "10" "$phongfresnelranges" "[.25 .5 1]" "$basemapalphaphongmask" "1" "$rimlight" "1" "$rimlightexponent" "4" "$rimlightboost" "1"
