Hi there

like I mentioned in the subject, my CS:S crashes.
It's after I compiled my map and started it.
I create the server and after a few seconds ( sometimes I've got the time to choose a team ;-) ), the game crashes immediately.
I don't know if there's some information in the console because I can't read it.
The map's not finished yet but I don't think thats the problem.

I looked for some information in the compile window of Hammer but I didn't find any useful.
There's only one thing with the cubemap but I don't know how to use cubemap right.
Maybe you can figure something out.

with prop_static, it must be compiled with $staticprop!

Theres your problem, make sure you have it set as a static prop, for having the wrong entity tied to it can cause the model to lag the map, and crash it.

Or if it says "Client timed out", Click the "dont run map after compiling" check box in the "Run Map" window, then start the map in game by typing in console: "map de_mapname" where de_mapname = your map's name

Also post this in the Mapping thread, might get more help there than here.

I got the same problem as you, but I can't find the compile log anywhere so I can't find out which map crashes the game :/ Where is it? :P

The removal of the "models/props_lab/freightelevator.mdl" didn't help.
It crashes less, but still.
And yes, it's only this map that crashes.

@ NetBurst:
You see the compile log after you compiled your map in hammer. It's the small window in which it says what Hammer does.

You have to download it via Steam.
Go for "Tools" in the main menu (it's the very right tab).
Look for "Source SDK" (NOT "Source SDK Base") and download it.
After you start it you will have to configure Hammer. You can find help here.
