As you might remember, in the first PM system conversations were broken across multiple PMs, like emails, which was a bit annoying when users decided to remove all the quoted text. In the second and current PM system, you could continue conversations in the same PM. In the new system i'm working on you'll be able to converse with more than 1 recipient in the same PM. So if you address the PM to more than 1 person you and all recipients will be able to converse, much like a private thread. One advantage of this is you'll be able to "forward" a PM simply by adding the recipient to the private message conversation. You can also remove yourself from a private message conversation, if it's with more than 2 people.

Been wondering if this was going to be a feature, cause Sending separate PM's to both SGT and Amen about map stuff was kinda annoying as one cannot see the response from the other :(

Can i make a suggestion and instead of just having "two or more" people, we can make this into a live chat client. For example, if the conversation is between two people and they are both online, the first members sents the "PM" to user 1. User 1 is online and on whatever page he is on, he will get a "popup" with the chat window... Same goes with more people but it would be more like a chat room. I think it would be pretty cool and simple to do (well for the 2 people). A couple ajax scripts would make baby run :)

A couple ajax scripts would make baby run :) I use yahoo messenger and i already got that pop up window :) when somebody send me a new a pm or something...subwatch...events...i get a pop-up window :D
