because i got informed that there is a map called de_vacant(wich isnt like the cod4 map at all)
ill change the name to cs_vacant and gg_vacant. Yes 2 versions but the same map.

The Map has 32 player support
gg_vacant will be compatible with GunGame, Team Deathmatch, Warcraft mod and rpg. (note: rpg will cause geameplay balance problems) and it will be the first to be released.
Instead im going to release a cod4 map remake for css.
mainly because so many people have recreated shipment wich is way too easy.
So i choose vacant wich represents a greater challenge.
Because of the huge HDR version of gg_vacant(24.9mb)
I will scrap the cs version for a non HDR version wich only is 9.5mb
It will hopefully be released on sunday since i have a very busy day tomorrow.
Note to all:
Neither gg_vacant og gg_vacant_hdr are compatible with bots yet since this is still in the alpha stage. Bot´s nav file and radar will follow after the official release so be sure to check the mappage for a updatet version of the map in the week after the realease.
Note to server admins:
Like said before dont use bots with both versions yet.
If you have found a bug or a glitch please pm me so i can fix it.
Also if people have complains about the map also pm me so i can make this and future maps better.
Map log: 19. July 2008
I have finished a dev version of the main building and the next objective will be the storage hall, t spawn and the outside area.
The biggest challenge will be a hole wall at the toilets wich will be extremly detailed.

Finished the whole building in dev at the moment.
Tomorrow i will places more models and maybe even start texturing a few walls

had a busy day so couldnt really make alot but i managed to texture a few walls and add more light

Busy day again but i managed to texture alot of walls and make the hole at the toilets

because of a error in the lighting i deleted all lights and kept on texturing and making the outisde area

finished the outside area in dev and some parts even in texture

Finished the whole map area now i am going to add final texture details and objects.

Fixed the lighting problem (new textures) and added light to the outside area

Im finally beginning to see a ligth at the end of the tunnel. Only the t´spawn is left to make in the building. Then i have to finish the outside area.

The surroundings are mostly done just need to add some small details.
T´spawn just need correct lightning and then the map is pretty much done.
I will work on the light to make it a tick darker and alittle more realistic. Also i will compile with hdr and add fog tomorrow. After that i will bugfix and then the map is done:D

Hdr compiled for the first time.
I left the fog out since it didnt fit at all with the map.
Also added secret room somewhere.
And i added cubemaps. |
