Sounds awsome.... cant wait to see this start coming together....

Just an idea: while entering the open building with the soldiers, the door and door port collapse, blocking only you out.

Fire is everywhere, and finally there is an explosion ( from what I dunno) in the side of the wall, putting a huge hole in it. Maybe put in some crabs that leap around while you move to the hole, but are harmless, and just meant to suprise the player again.

You get in and the combine flip a table over to cover the hole and move some debris over to fill in the gaps.

As you move to to side door ( supposedly whatever the exit room is), you hear zombies banging on the table and the debris covering the hole starts to shift around a little.

It would take a damn good scripter, but I guess its just an idea.

Update on level:

# Enter city (medium sized) not knowing its infected.

# Train stopped by crashed tanker truck (on fire) across the tracks at crossing guard.

# Everyone gets out of the train. You can see a headcrab over by the dead civi. by the truck.

# Zombies are introduced (headcrabs in beginning. After gathering weapons normal zombies will start appearing)

# You get an escort from some combine soldiers/ metrocops to a safe zone.

# You start walking down the street. about halfway done the street you hear an explosion and the power to the street shuts off. Almost complete darkness.

# There are some lights at the end of the street still on. Combine soldiers instructs everyone to head there.

# Combine Helicopter flies over. You can overhear a part of what they are saying: "get (kill) those..." <--- line to be changed just an idea.

# Everyones attention will be on the helicopter which is heading towards the lights which are still on.

# Power turns on. Solider says: "Ok powers back on. Wait what the..." - This will get the player to turn around.

# You turn around to find a horde of zombies comming after you (normal, not fast or posion).
- Meant to surprise player.

# Players who found the gun (if playing co-op). But if it isn't co-op. The player would start moving back with the civilians to a building at the end of the block.

# Another explostion. Dust cloud appears and at "T Intersection" of the street, you see the helicopter droping bombs on the zombies over there. Zombies get blown up and street breaks apart in middle of the intersection.

# Fire starts. Players/ allies head towards open building.

# Everyone gets to the room. Combine soldier locks the door and puts a thing of furniture up on the door. Zombies pounding at door.

# Everyone enters a side room to the main house.

# /end level
