Its obvious I'm no longer a participating member anymore so its time to pass the reigns on to someone who can lead. I've given ownership of the studio to Kosai106 who I hope can continue our studio's tradition of great creation and bring life back here. With my age, family ad continuing bad health I've simply lost the time and interest in continued skinning. Thank you all for your hard work, dedication and amazing contributions, as Jack Burton would say, "We really shook the pillars of heaven, didn't we?"

Today, I briefly entertained retiring as your leader and letting Modder take the reigns again, but he seems to be happy just kicking it old school, so I figure what the hell, if you all like the way I'm doing things and we're still winning awards, I see no reason to change anything.

Just remember that as members, you all have a voice here and I'll listen to any requests or opinions you have about anything.

Well, its been an eventful year at Avenger. We've had some terrific releases and a tight run with Damage for 1st place. I have no doubts as they have more active members than we do that they'll eventually win through, but we should always be proud of what we have accomplished in these past few years.

That said, I'm hoping that 2009 will be a break through year for us and that we'll continue to put out amazing releases for some time to come. Anyways, Happy Holidays Avenger members and fans and thank you for your hard work and support for our studio. ;)

New Year, New Chances

As you maybe already noticed, DarkElfa retired and left the leadership to me. At this point, I want to thank him for his trust in me, I will try to lead DCS as good as I can. It is sad to see him go; he created the #1 studio at FPSBanana and filled it with several of the best submissions ever. It was a pleasure to work with him and a honour to learn from him -he will defenatly be missed.
To honour our studio founder and former leader, I added a veteran box in the side menu.

Still, this is not the main reason for this Studio News. We have to pull together more - DCS is slowly dying because of its members. Some people in here weren't very active during the last time, but they submitted outstanding work before and I am confident that they won't let DCS down. Others don't have many submissions - maybe not a single one at all - and there is no reason why they should stay in. Those members have to get active again and submit at least one good submission until the beginning of February 2008, or they will be removed from the DCS roster!
The following members are concerned:

  • ElementSniper

  • Dirty-Sniper

  • 5hifty

  • Biggs

  • GTAGOD

GTAGOD is more or less an exception, he seems to be active and submits stuff - but for other studios. If he wants to stay, he has to submit again for DCS in the future. Of course not every submission, but at least some of them. Same deadline as for others. Biggs was an upcomer, but he's offline for 4 months now - way too long to be part of an active team.


As we had a slot open, I also invited stealthsilver to DCS. He submitted quality work in the past and is working together with happycamper. If he accepts, welcome him in the team and give him any support he needs and that you can provide.

The First to 2000 Favorites!

I'd like to say congratulations to DCS® for being the first studio to break the magical 2000 favorites barrier. Sometimes the "best" work isn't always the most loved or the most used. While many studios have accused us of having many untalented members, we proven once again that the proof is in the pudding.

Good job guys, I'll see you at 3000 favorites. ;)

I'm not sure where I should begin, but after 3 months or so I feel I needed to say at least something with my Houdini act. I got a new job, working long hours and learning alot, basically training as i work. It wasn't my intension to just pick up and leave and say nothing to you all, i also (still am) dealing with some personal issues too. I will be back, right now i need to work as much as possible because when summer is over I will get my hours cut from 50+ hours a week to about 26 or so. I hope you all can forgive me, i had to make alot of sacrifices and this was one of them, temporarily. I'm glad this studio is still alive and kicking. btw, hey Joe, sorry for the mess up.

The First to 100,000 Points!

Congrats to all my guys in DCS® for their hard work and dedication in the past months that have allowed us now to become the first Studio to exceed 100,000 points earned. Keep up the good fight guys and let's also be the first to exceed 2000 favorites just like we were the first and still the only to exceed 1000 favorites and 5,000,000 views. ;)

I personally feel like Dark Caliber Studio's needs a New Uberstyle.
