It rubs me the wrong way is all and it sets a very dangerous precedent in sub ownership rights. I mean would the site members be happy if everyone started demanding ownership of any sub for which they were an author? It would result in anarchy and chaos. All I'm saying is that he should have been able to do no more than request their deletion at most and if he was going to do that, then he shouldn't have approved them in the DSM in the first place. Normally I'd try to give an analogy to get my point across but I don't have one for this crap.

Well, its nice to know that Tom gave 2 of my subs away to Darkstorn overnight. Apparently Darkstorn left Tom a message on his profile that said he wanted anything with his work in it deleted that wasn't submitted by him or his studio and a list of other subs with the remark: "As for the others, they have better scores than the stuff i've submitted myself, and thus i want them for myself:" Isn't it ironic that someone who has spent the last 3 years bashing this site now wants to either delete or take other people subs so that he can "be someone" on a site that he's spent the last 3 years bashing in public. Do I sound mad? Either way, I've told Tom to delete those subs since my work was involved as well.

As you maybe already noticed, DarkElfa retired and left the leadership to me. At this point, I want to thank him for his trust in me, I will try to lead DCS as good as I can. It is sad to see him go; he created the #1 studio at FPSBanana and filled it with several of the best submissions ever. It was a pleasure to work with him and a honour to learn from him -he will defenatly be missed.
To honour our studio founder and former leader, I added a veteran box in the side menu.

Still, this is not the main reason for this Studio News. We have to pull together more - DCS is slowly dying because of its members. Some people in here weren't very active during the last time, but they submitted outstanding work before and I am confident that they won't let DCS down. Others don't have many submissions - maybe not a single one at all - and there is no reason why they should stay in. Those members have to get active again and submit at least one good submission until the beginning of February 2008, or they will be removed from the DCS roster!

GTAGOD is more or less an exception, he seems to be active and submits stuff - but for other studios. If he wants to stay, he has to submit again for DCS in the future. Of course not every submission, but at least some of them. Same deadline as for others. Biggs was an upcomer, but he's offline for 4 months now - way too long to be part of an active team.

As we had a slot open, I also invited stealthsilver to DCS. He submitted quality work in the past and is working together with happycamper. If he accepts, welcome him in the team and give him any support he needs and that you can provide.

The First to 2000 Favorites!

I'd like to say congratulations to DCS® for being the first studio to break the magical 2000 favorites barrier. Sometimes the "best" work isn't always the most loved or the most used. While many studios have accused us of having many untalented members, we proven once again that the proof is in the pudding.

Good job guys, I'll see you at 3000 favorites. ;)

I'm not sure where I should begin, but after 3 months or so I feel I needed to say at least something with my Houdini act. I got a new job, working long hours and learning alot, basically training as i work. It wasn't my intension to just pick up and leave and say nothing to you all, i also (still am) dealing with some personal issues too. I will be back, right now i need to work as much as possible because when summer is over I will get my hours cut from 50+ hours a week to about 26 or so. I hope you all can forgive me, i had to make alot of sacrifices and this was one of them, temporarily. I'm glad this studio is still alive and kicking. btw, hey Joe, sorry for the mess up.

The First to 100,000 Points!

Congrats to all my guys in DCS® for their hard work and dedication in the past months that have allowed us now to become the first Studio to exceed 100,000 points earned. Keep up the good fight guys and let's also be the first to exceed 2000 favorites just like we were the first and still the only to exceed 1000 favorites and 5,000,000 views. ;)

Congrats team, you worked hard and today we oficially became the first studio to exceed 5,000,000 views. Keep up the hard work and let's also be the first to break 100,000 points and 2000 favorites. ;)

hey everyone and now to the nitty gritty:

I know im a newbie when it comes to being in a studio, but i know enough that people within our ranks are nothing but slacking off. I am not gonna point fingers nor name names, but we have become somewhat stagnant in producing as a TEAM.

I know we lack in a few spots and most of you people are compilers or art fags (j/k). no, seriously, we need to regroup and set our priorities straight or we are gonna fall out of the sky like a 747 w/o any engines.

To be honest, i know that a ton of you are more capable then i'd been led to beleive and i trust that those who are willing and able, to come forward to either me or Elfa in what ideas we can ALL work on as a studio.

Just to let you all know, Elfa did not ask me to make this post. I looked around and saw that there are studio's that are alot more active than we are. so i ask: do you really want to keep on being part of a team? do you want us to keep on being the top bananas or what?

This is not a joke at all. I expect some honest replies and some answers or i will kiss my own ass goodbye from here. i joined to be a part of a team and in the short time i've been here, there has been very little activity. so it's basically up to the rest of you all people. i can easily join ANY other studio if i wish, but i like being among you all, so let's work together to CRUSH all those other studios. peace and be nice to one another.
