Surge will include lots of bits and pieces from big game franchises like Unreal series, Quake Wars and Team Fortress 2. The goal is to combine the best bits and pieces from these games and make something entirely new.
STORY:
Surge is taking place in near future, when the economy crisis has spread across the globe, merging countries and increasing crime rates, causing prisons to overfill.
Two private prison companies called Abaddon and Cyro are born, followed by new bloody and deadly sport, Surge. Win, and you dont need to take part next season.
Combat armors, exoskeletons and weapons have been developed especially for this seasonal event. Let the best bet win.
GAMEPLAY:
Surge's gameplay is adrenaline filled, fast paced and class based FPS/TPS with realistic POV (point of view) action, helmet hud, camera bobbing, energetic melee and ranged combat and fatigue system.
Also introducing 5 different playable classes (Lurker, Reaver, Medic, Drone and Trencher) with 3 different types of armor values. Each class has the option to choose from two melee weapons, 2 secondary weapons, 3 main weapons and special tools that they can use for their advantage against other classes.
In addition to that, each class is customizeable with different helmets and custom made logos.
GAMEMODES:
The current list of pickable gamemodes is the following:
- Death Match
(Basic 'Shoot everything that moves')
- Team Death Match
(One team vs. Another)
- Capture The Flag
(Steal the enemy flag and return it to your base)
- Duel
(1 vs. 1 duels against other players, you win, another player enters. Repeat.)
- Base
(Two teams trying to destroy each other's bases)
- Swarm
(One big team holding off a swarm of enemy creatures) |
