Sniper Division
Your rifle is your most important ally
Membership: Invite Only
Game: HL2
Genre: FPS
Type: Multiplayer
Game Profile: None
Sniper Division is a mod wich will be based on snipers of WW2.
Weapons/item: Great scale of sniper rifles, some pistols and a lighter to light up dark spots a bit.
maps: forests, city's/villages and large open fields.
You will be able too customize your whole sniper rifle like:
adding a camo blanket, configure or changing of scopes... you will also be able to open and close your scope incase of the reflection of the sun.
Also the weather has control on how your bullet will go, which you can see on you compass.

This mod will be a full modification of Half life 2.

Rifles will include the Kar98 Kurz, Enfield, Mosin nagant, Springfield, Svt-40 Tokarev and some other more rare rifles.

Pistols: P38, Colt, Tokarev pistol and more rare ones.

The mod idea is inspired by the movie enemy at the gates. It will ofcourse have a map of stalingrad, and will be all about the life and skills of the snipers.

This is going to be an amazing mod, Im going to be waiting patiently for the release. Wish i could be part of it but right now i dont have the time or patience to map for a mod. Maybe later when released or something im sure ill get to mapping it but right now i have no time.

K, first hand rigging wip is now up. but one very good point at RRXIII brought up was the possibility of elbows. since this mod will be focusing on snipers, that means that a lot of the arm is gonna get shown, and if the arm ends at the forearm then it limits what we can do in the animations.

so i guess what it boils down to is would it be worth it to model a full arm (forearm + upper arm) or should i just stretch the forearm out a bit and call it good enough?

if i stretched the forearm then the UV maps would get distorted a little bit, but it wouldnt be terribly noticeable. if we modeled on the upper arm to the current mesh then it would require entirely new UV maps as well. B0T can do it fast, but he's only human, and he has a life too, so it means that this option would take significantly longer

what are yall's thoughts and opinions?

I'm experimenting with using a night time skybox and extremely dark lighting.... Is that gonna be okay with you Voice, or will you need to see some screens before you can decide?
