Howdy! I was always thinking: What would it be like to play games like The House of the Dead in the Half Life world? I hope that with my minimal dev skills (HURR) I might be able to pull this off.
Basically, here's how the game works.
1. Character moves somewhere.
2. Character stop to engage enemies.
3. When enemies are defeated, player continues.
The player will be limited to a pistol with 6 or 7 bullets and will have 4 lives per credit. The player would be able to select how many credits they would like to play with at the start.
As for the storyline, I'm writing it.
Other features:
- Time based routes: killing enemies faster may lead to an easier / less dangerous path.
- Better voice acting than the HotD series (This should be easy T.T).
-As for the gore, we'd need pretty damn good modelers.
What I can do:
I'm a horrible mapper and know little about coding. I'm stuck doing the concept work.
Any and all help is appreciated, which is why it's an open house. The source code for the mod will also (hopefully) be released.
