Atlantian Legacy is a personal project of mine. It will be the first of three in the Atlantian Trilogy. I am going to be fairly ambitious in this endeavor. This mod will feature new weapons, a non-canonical story that links up with the Half-Life storyline, various new gameplay features, new music, and more. This will be a single player mod, because I wish to convey a cinematic story with a lead protagonist.
Over time, I will begin to be asking for team members to help me as my mod becomes bigger, with more things to show for itself. Eventually I will be seeking other mappers, artists, modelers, a composer, and possibly more to aid me in turning Atlantian Legacy into the next big thing. For now, it's a one man project until I have something worthy of being mentioned.
Synopsis:
Atlantian Legacy takes place sometime between the Combine's arrival and Gordon's arrival in City17. You are a veteran soldier, now resistance fighter. Combine occupation has begun, and the pockets of human resistance are thinning. However, by sheer luck and coincidence, scientists believe that they have discovered the Lost City of Atlantis deep beneath the earth. While such an archaeological discovery is generally not of importance when one's planet is being overtaken, Atlantis presented something much more. Initial inspection has revealed highly advanced technology built into the framework of Atlantis. The Lost City has not yet been fully explored, but it possesses technology that could rival the power of the Combine. Unfortunately, no intelligence is ever safe from the enemy. The Combine have heard and taken a mysterious and alarming interest in Atlantis.
Who built Atlantis? Why do the Combine seem to know about it? What secrets does the city still hold? All these questions will be answered, but one thing is for sure. This is not the first time the Combine have set foot in our galaxy, nor was Black Mesa the first alien invasion. |
