I was going to change the sign in tf2 (like the intel this way sign) to go with a cool game mode i found (Link) but to just change a existing skin would change all, like in 2fort.

Posted by As-A-Sin Do u guys know how to create a new skin for a model without replacing the existing skin? Decompile it and UV map it again? Really I'd just use the existing skin and skin right over it from scratch.
